You may have asked yourself, What is a clinical study? A clinical study or trial is a research study conducted under strict medical guidelines to determine the safest and most effective treatments for various health indications and to discover new ways to improve health.
Each study is different, and each follows a specific protocol that outlines procedures such as: who can participate, scheduling of visits, medications, and dosage requirements.
Clinical trials can compare a new medical approach to one that is currently available or to a placebo that does not contain active ingredients that may affect a participant's health. If you don't qualify for one study for a particular reason, it doesn't mean you won't qualify for the next study for the same indication; as each study has its unique requirements and qualifications.
